Course Code Course Course Description
DA12505 Indonesian Speaking I This course aims to improve the student’s speaking skill. The students are expected to exchange information in public places, to describe feeling, self-background, environment and others based on their need such as education, health, social interaction and leisure. In the end of this course, the students are able to communicate fluently using Indonesian Language in daily conversation.
DA12506 Indonesian Reading I This course aims to equip students to have the knowledge and ability to read Indonesian texts at the first level. Through this course, students are expected to be able to read and understand the contents of descriptive texts and their contents related to direction, location, surrounding environment, daily activities, personal letters. Lectures are conducted with lectures, discussions (question and answer), and assignments. Learning evaluation is carried out using tests and non-tests.
DA12503 Indonesian Writing I The Writing I course discusses basic writing concepts which include the nature of writing, types of writing, simple essay outlines, basic writing steps along with examples. Through these concepts, students are guided to practice writing simple types of writing such as a story writing framework from a series of pictures, simple short stories, simple news writing, simple articles, and simple features. After taking this course, students are expected to be able to write various forms of essays.
DA12504 Listening 1 Listening 1 is a basic course in listening skills. This course teaches about identifying word structures and sentence structures in Indonesian which are presented in various forms of sentences and discourse. Sentences and discourse are presented in oral and written form. Through this course students are expected to be able to identify the processes of affixation and reduplication as word formation processes in Indonesian. Students are also expected to be able to identify phrase and sentence patterns in Indonesian.
M1912525 Indonesian Dance This Dance Arts course aims to introduce students to the various types of Dance Arts that exist in Indonesia. The next step is to provide students with a more in-depth understanding of the history of dance and dance techniques, especially the Hegong Dance.

From this, students will gain basic knowledge and skills in the art of dance and be able to perform the Hegong Dance well

M1912522 Selected Reading of Indonesian Literature Selected Reading of Indonesian Literature: This course provides an understanding of Indonesian literary works in the form of short stories and novels. Apart from that, Indonesian literary works will also be introduced in the form of short stories or novels which have been adapted into films/other media. At the end of the semester, students will have knowledge of Indonesian literary works, especially those in the form of prose (short stories or short novels) and can explain the content contained in Indonesian literary works, both spoken and written, in complex language.
M1912503 Comparison of Indonesian and Malay MK Comparison of Malay and Indonesian

The Comparative Malay and Indonesian Language Course aims to introduce the history of Malay and Indonesian languages. Students are able to compare Malay and Indonesian vocabulary in everyday life and practice it. The output of the MK Comparison of Malay and Indonesian is that students can create simple texts in Malay and Indonesian and practice them orally in video form.

M1922510 Indonesian Speaking II This course emphasizes learning speaking skills, both individual and group speaking skills. The course material includes concepts and theories of speaking skills, theories and skills of speeches, writing texts and news reading news, direct  reports, organizing and hosting events, composing an interview framework and conducting it, discussions in large and small groups, pro-con debates, and speaking skills in the public sphere.
DA12512 Cooking 1 The Continental Culinary course is a practical lecture that supports students’ abilities in producing various dishes from continental regions such as America, Europe and others. Students will be active in menu selection activities, creating standard recipes, budget planning, preparation, processing, and serving various continental culinary delights. Then students are also taught to analyze continental culinary trends in Indonesia and create dishes that suit consumer needs.
M1912501 Newspaper Reading This course aims to equip students to have the knowledge and ability to read newspapers. Through effective and efficient reading techniques and methods, students are expected to be able to read and understand the content contained in each section of the newspaper. Lectures are conducted with lectures, discussions (question and answer), and assignments. Learning evaluation is carried out using tests and non-tests.
M1912518 Indonesian Tourism  

This course aims to give knowledge about Indonesian Tourism in general, and tourism aspect, the development of Indonesian Tourism in general. The students will focus on developing storynomics tourism; a tourism communication approach that prioritizes narration, creative content, and culture. The students are expected to write the various cultures, history and legends behind every tourist spot in Yogyakarta.

M1922516 Indonesian Behind The Lens The Indonesia Behind the Lens course is a course that presents Indonesian learning through photographic landscapes. The lecture material includes skills in photography theory and practice, as well as strategies for arranging an exhibition based on the results of the theoretical and practical mastery that has been obtained. The themes of this subjects are specific to aspects of Indonesian culture and nature.
M1922514 Indonesian Reading II This course aims to train the ability to read Indonesian texts for foreign students with abilities equivalent to intermediate level. Students will study various types of texts that use everyday words. The topics discussed include personal experiences, professions in Indonesia, tourism, historical places, national figures, transportation, and topics related to traditions, culture and local wisdom in Indonesia.
M1922520 Indonesian Writing II This course aims to equip students to be able to apply advanced writing steps. Through these skills, students are guided to practice journalistic writing, writing fiction (paying attention to intrinsic and extrinsic elements), writing opinion articles on the theme of local wisdom. After taking this course, students are expected to be able to write various forms of essays.
